Iconostasion (Icon Screen) of the First Church

The Iconostasion was built by local craftsmen and installed in new Church at the cost of $225, in time for the Church’s name day on June 6th, 1914 (which was May 21st on the old calendar and used by the Church at the time). Until 1922, the old calendar was used by the Church to celebrate the May 21st holiday.
You will notice that the Western-style iconography prevalent at that time contrasts the Byzantine-style iconography in our present Church.
