Portrait of Theodoros Genchos

Theodoros Genchos, Harry Karapalidis’ maternal grandfather, arrived in Philadelphia from Greece in 1927 and eventually moved to Camden, NJ where he opened 2 restaurants with his son, Dimitri. One of the diners was named the “Olympic Diner.”
