Krystalia “Lula” Aristoklis passes away

Krystalia “Lula” Aristoklis, 93, of Wilmington, DE, died on June 20, 2016, with her family by her side. Born in Sparta, Greece she lived in Chester before moving to her late residence. Lula was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Philoptochos Society. Lula loved writing poetry and was a gifted speaker. She played the piano and was proud of her Greek Heritage, but most important was her devotion to her faith, prayers, and love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Theodore Aristoklis who died in 1984; her granddaughter Eugenia M. Sitaras and her parents, The Very Very Reverend Athanasios E. Devedjakis and Presvytera Eleni Devedjakis, who served as at St. George Church, when the church was in Chester, PA. The priestly family also lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Krystalia had regular correspondence with the late Eminence Archbishop Iakovos when he visited the Greek Orthodox of Argentina.

Lula was the Devoted mother to Fofi Kiritsis (Tom), Eleni Sitaras (Mike), Athy Kirtses (Pete) and Theodore Aristoklis, Jr. (Vikki); Yiayia to Tina, Crystal, John, Eugenia, Evan, Michael, and Maria. Yiayia to Julia, Michael, and Ava.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, June 24, 2016, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Road, Media, PA 19063 (Middletown Twp.) where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery. Memorial gifts to the church. Online condolences at www.whiteluttrell.com.
