Dina Christou Shaping the Minds of Greek American Youth
Dina is an “Axia” woman, worthy of our praise for her passion, energy, dedication and ability to lead young people and make a positive difference. She is “Axia” because she excels in her professional work, in her role as a wife, mother and friend and in her contributions to her community.
I met Dina at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Media when our daughters were in Greek School. I immediately admired and respected her. Dina is full of energy and creativity and she has an ability to engage our youth in many activities with much success.
She was Joy advisor and was, and continues to be, Lead GOYA advisor (for at least twelve years). She has taught Greek dance, choreographed American dance and plays for “Sights & Sounds” and taught Sunday School. She participates in youth camps and contributes her time to church functions.
However, it is not just her involvement that makes Dina stand out. It is that she does it tirelessly and selflessly because she believes in promoting the values of community, teamwork, education, and love. And she does all this while making it fun!
Dina has also been busy raising her daughters and excelling at BDO in her role as Auditing Senior Manager and in her current role as Controller/CFO at Drexel Foods.
I am grateful to have such an Axia woman influencing and shaping the minds of our children while having lots of fun in the process.
